HiPP HiPP Hooray!!!

Hipp bio2About HiPP

The German Hipp family has passed down their love for nature, and their craft to produce high quality food, from generation to generation within the Hipp family. The Hipp forebears initially made beeswax candles and fine honey gingerbread. At the end of the 19th century, Joseph Hipp had an idea that was revolutionary for that time. When his wife had problems nursing their twins, he used hand crushed rusks and milk to make the first baby cereal. The news of his success spread, and the yellow and black packages of J. Hipp’s Rusk Flour became an established brand, laying the foundations for the family company. As the popularity of the flour grew, son Georg sold the product from door to door in Munich, until his parents’ premises grew too small and he founded his own company in 1932.

The laboratory of HiPP is one of the best in EuropeAlthough Hipp only uses carefully selected ingredients, an excellent quality can only be obtained when the food is submit to strict and frequently controls. Hipp milk products for infants meet the most recent scientific knowledge. More than 200 days a year the cows are outside in pasture, that are not treated with mineral fertilizers or chemical and synthetic insecticides. The milk contains no trace of harmful substances, and has a high quality.

Professors employed by Hipp take their jobs very seriously. Long-term clinical studies are required to guaranty the safety of Hipp baby milk. These studies aim to improve the functional ingredients for babies health. The clinical studies will take place under the guidance of international, and in their field particularly recognized, professors and pediatricians and are performed according to the highest scientific standards.

The best organic quality follow-on milk

Hipp bottle feeding is derived from organic cow’s milk. This means that the cows always eat ingredients without GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). The Hipp Organic follow-on milk contains no added sucrose so that the baby does not get used to the sweet taste.

In addition, the follow-on milk Hipp does not contain any starch, maltodextrin or flavorings. In addition, there is much attention to adding omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids are essential in the development of the nervous system, and the brains of the baby retina.

Parties such as Greenpeace recommend Hipp Bio in their magazine because of the biological approach: “food without GMOs” in the Netherlands and “Essen ohne Gentechnick” in Germany.

HiPP is the leader in quality and sustainabilityThe name Hipp stands for ecological agriculture and sustainable values for over 50 years. Hipp succeed to reduce half of the water consumption and two-third of the energy consumption in their production process. In total 97% of all waste is now recycled.
